Happy New Year!!!

I am so awesome and fabulous that I have not had a single drop of alcohol this evening. That's right, I spent my New Year's Eve with my favorite little man in the world. He almost made it to midnight, but not quite. I almost didn't make it, but I caught a second wind and here I am up up up.
I've made some New year's resolutions. This year I resolve to practice all of the things I keep reading on how to be smarter. Studying, learning new vocabulary words, doing more Sudoku etc. etc. Oh reading books. I always vow to do so, but never quite accomplish this. I somehow managed to get A's in my classes without really reading the textbooks.......... as much as I should have.
Another big goal for me this year is to declutter my life. Of my crap, my extra fat on my thighs, and my jerk husband. Good riddance to all of you. I also vow to dance more, like I used to. Of course with a child this is quite the challenge. Being in school, yeah makes it that much more difficult. But I know with sheer will and determination I can achieve anything.
Should have added a cute and fancy picture. Ah well, that will be another goal of mine. Take more pictures and put them on my blogs.
Good night all and I hope 2010 is a fabulous year for everyone!!!!

The saga of Mango Boy

When I first started dancing I loved it, well rewind booty dancing has always been my fave, but a couple of super great friends introduced me to the wonderful world of swing dancing which eventually led me into ballroom dancing. I met some really great people. One night I was dancing and wound up dancing with this guy, he was so cute I couldn’t stand it. He had thick curly hair he was dark and well not so tall, but who’s counting anyway? So we danced and I was a novice dancer and he was well a competitor, but the song was fast and he warned me, but I said no problem and danced anyway. I think he might have been somewhat impressed with my ability to dance my beginner dance moves at such a quick pace. Well we ended the night by promising to see each other out dancing over the weekend.
So the night of the dance came and I was lookin’ all fancy in my lace halter top and skirt. So I decided to find Mango Boy and ask him to dance with me, during a fast dance. Well I finally found him, at the bar of all places. And I said “hey, I’ve been looking all over for you.” And he looked up at me with such a flabbergasted look and stammered: “YOU were looking for ME????” I was a little befuddled by this as I remembered him stating that we would in fact dance the next time we met. Later I would find out he thought I was way out of his league. I think men just say that when they really are at a loss for anything else creative.
Well Mango boy apparently has a blog devoted to him and how much of a player he is. Women claim he tells nothing but lies and has been known to date four women at once. I can attest to the fact that he is not exactly faithful. But no matter. I never dated him, we just hung out and had a good time. Acknowledging this fact about our relationship has helped my psyche tremendously. He does tell me nice things though, like I am cute, funny, silly, and have an amazing sense of humor. Oh and that I am missable. Mango boy moved far away a long time ago. I don’t talk to him much anymore only occasionally. He’s in town and the best part of it is I don’t have a lot of time to see him. I like when the tables get turned. Although, I really do enjoy spending time with him. He is hysterical. He gets the little things that others don’t always see. Like web suffer. We were parusing the geek to geek love site. Hilarious. I don’t think I could spend time with him and not laugh my ass off.
Just had a very wonderful conversation with mango boy. I wish I had spent more time with him than just a couple hours. Such is life though. Glad he thinks I’m amazing. I really do realize that I can do anything and do it well. I guess I am gifted that way. Now on to world domination. I need to make an effort to have more time with him when he comes back in the spring. I MUST. Map out a whole day for him or something. Just to be silly.
But it does make me feel good. When someone really amazing thinks that you’re amazing too. Even if it is all lies and bull crap. It’s okay. Just please don’t try to make whoopsie doodles with me and we’ll be okay.

Jammin' to Reggae had to write another post under another name because I have so much to say and I know people want to hear it.

I was talking to a friend today who was quick to remind me that I am actually intelligent. She even went so far as to say she was going to list all the reasons that I am amazingly smart. I was like, well that would be a completely blank piece of paper. And then she called me stupid and that she no longer wished to speak with me. Anyway the point of me writing was to say hey, a friend of mine was in town that I used to hang out with, not really all the time but a few times and established a sort of good relationship with before I got married to someone completely different and that I am totally incompatible with. Clearly he was the better choice, the guy I married I mean. Who doesn't want to argue incessantly about the intricacies of throwing laundry on the couch? I mean, when I walk in the door the clothes come off. This is a habit I will eventually have to break having a two year old. I acknowledge that someday he will be chilling with his peeps and I will have to refrain from doing so since I am sure his friends will freak out. Nobody wants to see their friends mother naked. Not that I know of anyway, I'm sure it happens. But from this point on I vow to be completely silly and random and make time for dancing. I can be smart and do all those things. Oh, my girlfriend also told me that I used to date stupid men and dummy myself down. Whatever that means. I am trying I really am. I know that I can be fairly intelligent and dear God I've written way too much. So a fond farewell for now.

Gotta get it together...

Alright so I am getting a divorce. This is fabulous. Fabulous in that I absolutely can't stand being married to this jerk not one second more. But not so fabulous because I am going to be a single mother, while in school, and I have to find a job. Oh yeah and a place to live. I am fortunate to have support aplenty. Been talking to old friends and new friends. Like Private Guy, I am so glad he still talks to me. Any other man would tell me to get bent. Not Private Guy though, he still talks to me and gives me the best advice. And then there's Mango Boy, one of my most favorite dance partners ever. Sex too. Can't lie there. Well I can, but not this time. I've met many people along the way.
It's already the beginning of December! OI OI OI OI!!! How the HELL did that Happen?!?!?!? Christ, it's almost Christmas. I haven't even begun shopping, nor do I care to. Not feeling very Christmasy, you know divorce etc. school kid birthday OMG My child's birthday is coming up too. Why on Earth did I have to have a kid that was born 5 days before Jesus? Well, I've never been much of a planner.
Going to go eat everything in sight as I stress about my future. Many of life's troubles are figured out over a nice fudgey caramely nutty turtle. Hmmmmm, maybe I'll get some ice cream and make it a Sunday. So much for my diet while trying to lose the weight I've gained being miserable in my marriage. Guess I can't fully start healing until I am fully away. And at this point I'm not.
